Daily Makeup Routine

I read a lot of beauty blogs (especially etcllymlrs.com, I'm OBSESSED), but I realised that I've never really done a proper 'beauty' post. So here is my daily makeup routine...

These are the products I used every day, in order.

First I start with Neutrogena Healthy Defence SPF30 facial sunscreen. This stuff rules! It soaks in so quickly and doesn't leave any kind of oil residue which is what I'm scared of when using sunscreen on my face. After that I use Face of Australia Moisturiser / primer.

Next I use this Chi Chi brush to apply Loreal Matte Morphose foundation. This stuff is so amazing! It blends really nicely and gives the skin an airbrushed look once you've applied it. You can use as little or as much as you like depending on how heavy you like your foundation to look. Personally, just a little is all I need. Sadly this product is discontinued so I hit up eBay and stocked up on it!

Next I just dust my whole face with this mineral powder using this Ecotools powder brush. I've had this powder for a really long time and it still looks hardly used! The brand name rubbed off, but I bought it from David Jones.
Next I use the other end of the Chi Chi brush to apply this Sportsgirl Get Cheeky blush / bronzer. I really like this stuff, only one swipe is all I need.
Next I fill my brows. This is a little bit of a complicated process to explain, but I learnt how to properly fill my brows using this video, and then over time tweaked the routine to suit me. I start by using Napoleon Eyebrow Brush to comb my eyebrows. Then I use Models Prefer eyebrow pencil in medium to lightly fill my whole brow. After that I do a bit of defining with the Napoleon Perdis eyebrow pencil in Chocoholic, to fix the shape a bit. I really love this pencil! I was so unsure when I bought it and the lady at the Napoleon counter insisted I go for a lighter shade because I'm blonde. I refused and got the brunette one instead, and I'm so glad I did! I have very dark brows for a blonde. After that I use the Ecotools angled brush to blend all of this in, and then I finish with some Australis clear brow gel (which was kind of gone a bit discoloured, oops!)
Finally, I apply Maybelline Volum' Express mascara.

Here are just a few products I often use, but not daily. (L-R) The Ecotools concealer brush is good for blending my foundation around my nose and under my eyes, it makes a little product go a long way. The Pixi Lash Line Ink felt tip liner I use sometimes to line my top lash line + to create the winged look. I often struggle to get the link straight though, but I'm getting better with practice!  The Pixi ink is very smudge proof though - and extremely pigmented - which I love. Alternatively I use this Maybelline Eyestudio gel liner for the same thing, which I find a bit easer. But it does smudge!

Heres how I look after all that crap!

To remove my eye makeup I use this Bourjois eye makeup removal fluid. I got this from ASOS only about 2 weeks ago, and I have to say I'm not too impressed. It leaves a pretty oily residue, and when I opened the package the label was already peeling off, AND it was leaking. Weird. I then give my face the once over with these Green Tea facial wipes. I find using actual cleaners breaks me out, but these are really soothing and smell nice and do the job fine. Plus they're like $2 from Kmart!
