Today I bought a 50mm lens somewhat impulsively but also somewhat as a result of hours of online research. Hey, it makes sense to me. Main thing is, this lens is so much fun to shoot with! The primary appeal of it to me was the super fast aperture (f/1.8), an impressive feat far beyond it's reasonable price tag if you ask me. So I took to my backyard to get these shots as a fun little test (nature shots isn't something I'd usually gravitate towards) but I enjoyed it so much. Now I understand why this lens is affectionately referred to as 'the nifty fifty'. Recommend!
