Secrets

I was lucky enough to join Matt Corby and eighty or so other happy Central Coast-ians on the second last leg of his Secret Gardens Summer Tour. What an amazing night to say the least! The gig was originally to take place in a backyard, but instead ended happening in a nearby school. As one of the (very good looking) guys from the supporting act said, on the way to the venue we experienced almost "monsoonal" weather. But by the time we found the school and parked ourselves on our picnic blanket, the afternoon sun was very much shining again. Matt puts on such a stunning performance accompanied by nothing except his guitar. I think others who've seen him live could agree it's obvious he really loves what he's doing. We got to the venue at around 3:30PM and it was quite surreal to see him wondering around the school chatting and setting everything up. I was walking to the toilets as he was walking out and as I passed him I had to stop myself from giggling like a fangirl. I've got to say, there's always something special about a guy who's humble enough to put his hands together and give you a little bow when you compliment his set. Lots of love for this dude!
